Chocolate Truffle Tart with Candied Bacon - A recipe from The Globe and Mail Feb 7 2015

Some friends asked me if I have any recipes not from decades ago for Our Recipe Collection.  As a matter of fact, yes, I do.  One of my relatives cut out two recipes from The Globe and Mail and gave them to me last Saturday.

Chocolate Truffle Tart with Candied Bacon is a recipe created by Claudia Egger.  She opens a bakery called Frangipane Patisserie on Toronto, Canada.  Food columnist Lucy Waverman of The Globe and Mail made the tart and published the recipe for Valentine's Day.

When I searched for information of this recipe, I found out that it was posted online on Feb. 06 2015, 10:00 AM EST.  Why The Globe and Mail did this?  If we can read this recipe online on Feb 6, why do we buy the newspaper the next day on Feb 7?  Wait, the majority readers of this newspaper won't care about recipes, right?

So, this recipe appears online and on the newspaper is because of Native Advertising?  We thought we are reading a recipe but we are reading an ad of a bakery instead.  Well, I want to go check out this bakery if I'm in the neighbourhood.  I guess this is why Lucy Waverman is a successful food columnist.

Always, if you like this recipe and would prefer to read it online, here is its link.
