Some people asked me why we are having a
St. Patrick's Day party tonight.  Why not?  The St. Patrick's Parade in Montreal will take place in the coming Sunday March 22, 2015.  If Irish Canadians don't have any objection about this, why we, non-Irish Canadians, can't enjoy our homemade Irish drinks tonight?

These are what we are going to drink while watching our green hero in The Arrow (CTV / CW).

Shillelagh (1 serving)

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon icing sugar or confectioner's sugar or powdered sugar
1/2 cup peach juice
2 raspberries

Directions:

1. Pour the lemon juice, peach juice and icing sugar in a shaker and shake well.
2. Pull the mixture over crushed ice.
3. Garnish the drink with raspberries.

Irish Rose (1 serving)

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons cherry juice
1/3 cup 7up or sprite

Directions:

1. Pour the ingredients over ice and stir.
2. Garnish the drink with lemon or lime twist.

Emerald Champagne Cocktail (1 serving)

Ingredients:

2/3 cup white sparkling grape juice, chilled
1 teaspoon mint extract
2 drops green food colouring

Directions:

1. Mix mint extract and green food colouring in a glass.
2. Add the sparkling juice in the glass slowly.
3. Stir the drink slightly to blend the drink.

We have all ingredients ready.  All we need to do is to make our drinks and watch our favourite show.  Cheers!
