How to create a Google website and Google web page as a File Cabinet to store MP3 files

Blogger is free and easy to use.  But it's not easy to upload sound files.  Yes, we can have sound players at the side bar.  How about inside each blog post?  Thank you for tutorials from many smart people, I learned HTML 5 <audio> tag to add MP3 files in my blog post.

First of all, we need a URL (A uniform resource locator) for each sound file.  This URL tells Blogger where your sound file is stored.  Since we cannot upload sound files to Blogger, we need to upload our sound files to a web hosting service in order to get a URL for each file.

If you have a Google account, you can create a free Google website.  Then, you can upload your sound files into the Google website to get URLs for your files.

Create a Google website

1. Go to Google sites - a free website building tool from Google
https://sites.google.com/

After you login, you will see the page below.  Click the Create button to make your website.

2. Pick a site template and a name for your website.  I picked the blank one.

Now, you have a File Cabinet and you are ready to upload the MP3 files.  Then, you will be able to get URLs for your MP3 files.  Finally, you can add your MP3 files in your Blogger's blog post with HTML 5 <audio> tag.  Please continue to my next blog post How to add MP3 files in blog post of Blogger.
