Making ice cream sandwiches - how-to video and recipe from Sobeys

Hope you’re enjoying your weekend, my friends.  I found another how-to video to make ice cream dessert - ice cream sandwiches.

Ice cream cakes are easy to make, right?  If you watch the how-to videos in my blog post Making ice cream cakes - how-to videos from Loblaws, you will agree with me.

Ice cream sandwiches are even easier to make.  Just put one scoop of ice cream between two soft cookies!  Here is a short how-to video from Sobeys TV.

Faloodeh: Persian Rose Water and Rhubarb Ice Milk - A recipe of Chef Louisa Shafia

My friends said I have an obsession with rice noodle and rose water dessert Faloodeh.  Yes, I do.  I can't wait for the morning of the hottest day to make and eat this gluten-free frozen dessert.  Especially, it tastes best within 24 hours of being made, according to chef Louisa Shafia.

Irish Rose and Alcoholess Irish Rose with Sparkling Rosewater

Last night one of my friends gave me her version of alcoholess Irish Rose.  Instead of 7up or sprite, she makes the drink with sparkling water and rosewater.  I think I will try it next time.

Some people asked me why we are having a
St. Patrick's Day party tonight.  Why not?  The St. Patrick's Parade in Montreal will take place in the coming Sunday March 22, 2015.  If Irish Canadians don't have any objection about this, why we, non-Irish Canadians, can't enjoy our homemade Irish drinks tonight?

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Happy St. Patrick's Day, my friends!  Hey, I didn't forget you guys.  I even learned how to say Happy St. Patrick's Day in Gaelic today.  Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh!  Happy green day to all of you!

Date and Apple Granola Slices - A recipe from Air Miles Inspired Living Fall 2008

"Quick!! I need a simple recipe to cook with my daughter."  One of my friends called me and she wanted a recipe ASAP.  After I told her she can get tons of recipes from the internet, from the other side of the phone, she said, "Phoebe (For privacy reasons, real name will not be used in this blog) wants to make something from Auntie Nicole's blog."  I'm flattered.  Cooking with your kids during March Break?  Here is a recipe for you.

Don't you find it pricey to buy oat flour?  We can just use our rolled oats at home to make some oat flour for baking.  I'm not kidding, my friends.  It's easy and good for our wallets.  I use Quaker Large Flake Oats from local supermarkets.
