Ate purple yam sweet soup tonight.  It's a Chinese dessert one of my friends made.  My Asian friends like purple yams and they sometimes call purple yams as purple sweet potatoes.  If you want to buy some, you can find purple yams at any Asian supermarkets.

100 Happy Days Challenge - Day 74

Dairy-free chocolate cup, chocolate cup, chocolate, dairy-free, soy-free, refined sugar-free, 100 Happy Days Challenge, Another Random Thought of a Procrastinator, Random Thought, Another Random Thought, Random Thoughts, Another Random Thoughts, Procrastinator

Made some dairy-free chocolate cups.

I made some dried cranberry with brown rice syrup and had 2  tablespoons (30 ml) of cranberry brown rice syrup sauce left over inside the fridge.  So, I added cocoa powder, coconut oil and maple syrup to make chocolate cups with silicone muffin cups.  Dairy-free, soy-free and refined sugar-free, my friends.

Really like the chocolate cups with a tint of red colour from the cranberry brown rice syrup sauce.

Why did I cut it?  I only want to eat 1/4 of the chocolate cup per day.  Too rich and too sweet to eat the whole thing.  Next time I should make chocolate truffles instead.

This is how my friend says Black Sesame Seed Porridge / Sweet Soup in Cantonese.

Faloodeh: Persian Rose Water and Rhubarb Ice Milk - A recipe of Chef Louisa Shafia

My friends said I have an obsession with rice noodle and rose water dessert Faloodeh.  Yes, I do.  I can't wait for the morning of the hottest day to make and eat this gluten-free frozen dessert.  Especially, it tastes best within 24 hours of being made, according to chef Louisa Shafia.

While surfing the web for rose water recipes, I learned that the first day of spring (the spring equinox) marks the beginning of the year in the Persian calendar.  Happy Persian New Year !  At the website of The Social (CTV), I came across a Persian frozen dessert with rose water.  Looks like this is a dessert for Persian New Year.

Skillet Cinnamon Apples - A recipe from Elm Street Oct 1997

This is our first recipe for Our Recipe Collection.  It is from a Canadian magazine called Elm Street.  Since Elm Street was not available on newsstands, you may not heard of it.  Sadly, its publisher shut down the magazine years ago.
