March 25 2015 90th Anniversary of the first mechanical TV demonstration copyright @ Google Doodles |
90 years ago today, on March 25, a Scottish scientist John Baird began a three-week series of mechanical TV demonstrations at Selfridges Department Store in London. He was voted the second most popular Scottish scientist in 2009. Also, He is my second favourite scientist of the 20th century. Just now, I watched The Arrow (CTV / CW) and I was very thankful for what John Baird has done.
Google
commemorated this 90th anniversary in some parts of the world with a Google
Doodle yesterday. But I don't know why
this doodle disappeared from Google Doodles' website completely today.
