Downloaded the new and improved 2015 Eating Well with Canada's Food Guide.
Compared
with the hardcopy of the older version I have, the new one
- emphasizes importance of vegetables and fruits over grain products
- has more detailed info on portion sizes and servings for various age groups and both genders
- provides nutritious foods advice to various age groups
- has more info on how to choose proper oils, fats and beverages
- has more detailed info on serving size including serving size of culture-specific foods
- gives advice on how much and how often we should exercise
So
the new Food Guide is not only about food, it's also a healthy
lifestyle guide.
