A heartwarming note - photo copyright @ Ashley Jiron |
This is a very touching note written by Ashley Jiron, owner of the P.B. Jams sandwich shop in Oklahoma. She left two notes for the dumpster diver but nobody came to redeem the free meal.
From
Ashley's Facebook entry dated April 6, 2015
"If
you happen to see the person, please stop and tell them this for me. I will NOT
take down this sign until this person has come in. And the signs I have posted
in back, keep getting ruined by the rain
UPDATE:
after the wind took the laminated copy, I figured out a way to keep it attached
in back - 30 strips of clear, yet durable, tape."
Sometimes
we all need a helping hand to pull us through difficulties.
"If
I can be that one person to extend that hand to another human being then I will
definitely do it,” Ashley said in an interview.
Way
to go, Ashley !!!
On
April 12, Ashley started a "#ShareTheNuts" campaign to provide free
meal for people in need. Anyone can
donate money in person or via GoFundMe.
P.B. Jams will donate any money collected not being used by the end of the month to a
local homeless shelter.
