FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 Day 5 |
In Edmonton, we have 2 Group A matches
China (FIFA ranking # 16) vs Netherlands (FIFA ranking # 12)
Canada (FIFA ranking # 8) vs New Zealand (FIFA ranking # 17)
In Ottawa, we have 2 Group B matches
Germany (FIFA ranking # 1) vs Norway (FIFA ranking # 11)
Côte d'Ivoire (FIFA ranking # 67) vs Thailand (FIFA ranking # 29)
For Group B, I can't stop myself from rooting for team Côte d'Ivoire. This team has been trying to get qualified for WWC tournaments since 1991. This is also the first time for Thailand to get qualified. Germany's FIFA ranking is # 1 and Côte d'Ivoire is # 67. It was a really unfair match for Côte d'Ivoire on June 7. Thailand's FIFA ranking is # 29. Hope this will be a more fair match for both Côte d'Ivoire and Thailand today. Good luck for both teams.
