Ate some walnuts with my porridge.  Today is National Walnut Day in America.  My sis and I celebrated today by eating some in our bowls of porridge.  Well, to be honest with you, I didn't even know about National Walnut Day.  My sis wanted to have walnuts in our porridge because they have a lot of nutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants!  Walnut is a superfood!

My snack -  brown rice cake with peanut butter and raw vegan chocolate spread I made yesterday.  I tried to have a healthy snack under 200 calories and this rice cake snack is 187 calories.  Yeah !

Made my first Raw Vegan Chocolate Spread.  I wanted to have something other than peanut butter to eat with my rice cake for snack.  So, I just whisked up some Vegan Chocolate Spread quickly and put the spread in the fridge.  It's gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free.

Ate a healthy snack today (April 30).  An apple with peanut butter - same as what suggested from Smart snacks under 200 calories.  I love peanut butter so I ate more than 1 tablespoon.  Ooops, this snack is not under 200 calories.








1 apple                80 calories       0 g fat        0.4 g protein
(150 g) 
peanut butter     150 calories     12 g fat*      4.5 g protein
1.5 tbsp (22.5 g)

Total:                 230 calories     12 g fat*      4.9 g protein 
*Saturated fat 1.5 g

Should I  cut down on the peanut butter to 1 tbsp for snack?
