In
my blog post Noto Sans CJK is not for picky users, I mentioned about I'd like
to know how to create my own fonts. Today
(June 27), I found a free online service to achieve this goal.
PaintFont.com - photo copyright @ PaintFont.com |
PaintFont.com will convert our drawings and our handwriting into vector fonts. Then, we can install and use the fonts in our computers, tablets and phones. The good things are: 1. we can create as many fonts as we want free of charge. 2. we own the copyright of the fonts we made. Thank you PaintFont.com.
Looks
like making our own fonts is not too complicated.
1.
Select the language and characters we like
2.
Get template(s) as PDF or PNG files
3.
Fill out, scan and upload the template(s)
4.
Let the PaintFont.com create the fonts
Sounds
easy enough, right? I still haven't try
this site yet. Some of my friends tried it
and they like the fonts they made. Stay
tuned, my friends. If I created my own
fonts, I'll show you in my blog post.
