We have a tendency not to remember our bad times or hard times. But acknowledging the hard times is important for us to be grateful.
This is the reason why.
To be grateful you need to understand what you have including
good times and bad times. Without the bad or hard times, you would not have
anything to compare the good times to. Acknowledge the bad or hard times helps
you to develop a sense of appreciation.
