Shoppers Drug Mart $10 off coupon Oct 15 – 18, 2013

Sometimes when we search for printable coupons, we may find one or two for Shoppers.  But those coupons are always expired.

Today, there is a Shoppers’ coupon on Ottawa Metro Newspaper.  We can save $10 on our purchases of $50 or more.  This coupon is good until Friday, Oct 18.

Tomorrow, on Oct 17, H & M opens its first Ottawa store at Bayshore Shopping Centre.  How exciting!

I don’t know how much you have to spend to get that $300 off, but, it’s defiantly a good news for H & M lovers.

Will I be there?  Sorry, can’t ditch work.

Hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.  We are so happy this year we don’t have a lot of leftovers.  Now that Thanksgiving is over and my fridge has more room, it’s time to go for grocery shopping again.

Discussed with my sister, we bought some items with PC Plus points at Loblaws.

Personal PC Plus offer:

Cheerios on sale for $3.99 + 800 pts

Cheerios is also on special at Independent for $3.99 but without PC Plus points.

 

12 large size PC Free-run eggs $4.99 + 900 pts

This is more expensive than our regular PC Blue Menu Omega-3 eggs.   But my sister wants to try healthier Free-run eggs.

Avocado $3.00 + 600 pts

Banana $1.63 + 200 pts

In-store PC Plus offer:

Eggo waffles 16-pk on sale for $3.99 + 350 pts

Stock and Barrel walnuts 125 g on sale for $3.99 + 350 pts

This is also on special at Independent for $3.99 but without PC Plus points.

Of course, we bought items don’t come with PC Plus points.

Today, I collected 3200 points.  Now, I have total 5500 points = $5.50.  Every time when I have 20,000 points = $20.00, I will redeem my points.  Thank you again, Mr. Weston for this easy to use loyalty program. I can use my non-PC MasterCard to collect Air Miles and receive PC Plus points for my purchase at the same time.

Have you been shopping at Rexall / Pharma Plus lately?  We receive 2 kinds of coupons after each purchase. 

The first one comes with our receipt.  It is a weekly coupon for the coming week.  When we spend $25.00 or more, we save $5.00.

We only get the second one after we completed a survey.  When we spend $20.00 or more, we save $2.00.  The expiry date of this coupon is December 31, 2013.  Well, this is an online printable coupon.  So, we can just print it out without answering even one survey question.  Rexall / Pharma Plus may not be happy about this, though.

Loblaws’ PC Plus loyalty program

Loblaws’ PC Plus loyalty program

I used to collect PC point.  But, now, I use my credit card to buy my grocery and collect Air Miles.  With Loblaw’s new loyalty program PC Plus, I can collect both points.  Mr. Weston, thank you.

Everyone can join this PC Plus loyalty program.  So if you shop at Loblaws, it doesn’t hurt to join.  Especially we get points tailored to our purchasing habits.  So, we don’t have to buy things we don’t use nor eat. 

We get different offers weekly via email, but, once we redeemed the offer, we can’t get points by buying the same item again.  

1,000 points = $1.00 and I collected 2300 points for my Thanksgiving shopping.  When we reach 20,000 points, we can redeem the points for $20.00.  Of course, we can redeem more in increments of $10.00.

Combined her PC points with PC Plus points, my sister already collected over 25,000 points.  Wow!

Well, we can combine our accounts to make the most of the points.  But my sister prefers to have our individual email offers.

On Loblaws’ flyer, I thought after we joined the PC Plus loyalty program, we could get bonus points just for joining.

 

But, I’m wrong.  I guess many people misunderstood the advertisement like me.  So, Loblaws changed its ad.  You have to buy items with points to get the points.

Unfortunately, this PC Plus loyalty program is not available in all stores of Loblaw Companies.  It would be great if we can also get PC Plus points from Independent, No Frills and T and T Supermarket in Ottawa, Mr. Weston.

Eggo waffles– price memo

My sister loves to have Eggo for lunch.  So, this week is a good week to buy on special Eggo.

At Walmart, 16-pk is on sale as $3.97. 
Then, 1 Eggo waffle = $0.25.

At Loblaws, 16-pk is on sale as $3.99.  Well, 1 Eggo waffle is also around $0.25.   

Since I’m a PC Plus member, I get 350 points or $0.35 for my purchase.  Then, the same box of Eggo is now $3.64 and 1 Eggo waffle = $0.23.  In the future, I may receive my individual points for the same purchase.  Loyal customer?  No, I’m not.  Loyal point collector?  Yes, I’m.

At Independent, 8-pk is on sale as $2.50. 
So, 1 Eggo waffle = $0.31.

Sorry, Independent, I won’t buy Eggo at your place this week.  It’s way too expensive.

Price Memo Summary:

Buy Eggo waffle when 1 waffle is less than $0.25.

Now, think about the price, isn’t Eggo expensive?  We make waffle sandwich.  So, only the waffles themselves will be around 50 cents.  Maybe we should eat more bread and less Eggo.
