Thank
you for reading my random thoughts, my small achievements and my small
happiness. This is the compilation of my life about Blog making,
Beauty, Cooking, Crafting, DIY, Freebies, Healthy Lifestyle, Home Remedies, Music,

My
family members and I do not have any association with all stores on the above list. We do not work for these

Hey, my
friends, NASA's New Horizons spacecraft will have its closest
approach to Pluto today at around 7:50 am EDT.
After it was launched 9 years ago, finally, we are
going to have our first chance to see Pluto, Charon and Pluto’s four smaller
satellites - Hydra, Styx, Nix and Kerberos up-close.
I'm
so happy to see Kevin Laughlin created a Google Doodle anime to honour this
special day.
MasterChef
US (CTV / Fox) is one of mum's favourite cooking reality shows. Did you watch it last Wednesday (July 8)? In this season 6 episode 9, all the contestants made Gordon Ramsay's signature
dish - Beef Wellington.
I
was very interested in how Gordon Ramsay usually makes it. So, I went to his YouTube channel. Yes, there is a video of it.
The beef
in the photos of this site doesn't look medium rare to me,
though.
By the way,
the YouTube video is from Chef Ramsay's Christmas show.
Back to MasterChef US. At the second half of the show,
6 of the contestants had to cook Gordon Ramsay’s beautifully arranged Pan-Seared
Scallop Dish with scallops, quails eggs, pancetta, pea puree and truffle.

Director
of MasterChef US really knows how to film and edit the sequence of Chef Ramsay
cooking the scallops. It was so poetic,
elegant and pleasant to watch. Like
looking at the best ballet dancer dancing when he cooks. His cooking montage makes me want to dash to
Chef Ramsay's Culinary School to learn how to cook.
This
dish's video is harder to search from the net.
This is the one I got.
Scallops
with Quails Eggs and Pancetta - Gordon Ramsay
↑ This is
not Gordon
Ramsay. Just
in case you don't know how he looks like.
Even
though it's the same person cooking the scallops, Chef Ramsay doesn't move as
elegant as in the MasterChef US. Fox,
you guys are awesome ! You guys make cooking
cool !
I
found a recipe online but the ingredients of the recipe and the video are not
the same. Well, we get an idea of how chef
Ramsay cooks his scallops, though.
If
you found some other videos or recipes for these two dishes, please contact
me. Thanks a lot !
P.S.
One of my friends let me borrow her "Gordon
Ramsay's Ultimate Cookery Course".
In the book, there is a "Pan-fried scallops with crunchy apple
salad" recipe. I should start
learning his techniques from the book.
Will you want to make his version of the American classic Mac and Cheese?
Look
at my pear collection of May 5. Yes, another
post backdating to Happy Days Challenge way back in May, my friends.
Pears
are nutritious, so, we buy and eat lots of them. I have no idea we bought so many different
kinds during the week of May 5. Some of them we bought at Asian
supermarkets.
Other
than eating pears raw, there are many ways to cook pears, especially,
Asian pears.
For example this recipe recommended by one of my Korean friends:
