Campbell’s Soup $0.50 each

What a great value!  Max 6 cans per customer.  Well, I usually only buy 4 cans.  So, I’m okay.

Walmart’s asparagus is No.1 grade from Peru or Mexico.  Food Basics’ asparagus is No.1 grade from Peru; but, it’s $2.47 per lb.  So I should go to Food Basics this week for asparagus, perhaps?
We already bought rainbow peppers for Thanksgiving at Loblaws on Wednesday…

Eggo waffles 16-pack $3.97
Eggo waffles 16-pack $3.97
We only have a small freezer, we may not be able to buy more than 2 boxes.

Large pomegranates $1.47 each

I bought all these for Thanksgiving already.  So, as I said it before, I should wait for the last minute to take advantage of good deals.

To my surprise, Walmart has a lot of Ontario fresh produce.  I may have to check all flyers for Ontario produce and price before I do my shopping.  For other on special items, please go to Walmart’s website.

Food Basics shopping list Oct 11 - 17, 2013

When I have chance to go to Food Basics, I prefer not to buy meat there.  I buy vegetables, fruit or other on special items.  This week, I don’t have a lot of things I’d like to buy.

Weekly good price:

Green beans $1.00 per lb
Green beans $1.00 per lb

Asparagus $2.47 per lb
Asparagus $2.47 per lb
Will I still be able to buy green beans and asparagus when I finally have chance to go to Food Basics?

If I don’t have time to shop, I may cook other vegetables I already bought instead.  Sorry, Food Basics, I may not be your customer this week.  To check for other on special items, please go to Food Basics’ website.

Loblaws shopping list Oct 11 - 17, 2013

On Loblaws’ flyer, there are Thanksgiving 3 day sale and its regular 7 day sale.  Hope I still have chance to buy my favourite apple pie on Sunday – tomorrow.

Thanksgiving 3 day sale must buy:

Farmer’s Market apple pie / pumpkin pie $4.99

I usually make my own pumpkin pie.  So, apple pie please comes home with me.

Weekly must buy:

D’Italiano bread 675 g 2 for $5.00 or $2.50 each
D’Italiano bread 675 g 2 for $5.00 or $2.50 each
My sister loves this bread.  I love the way how Loblaws let us buy only 1 pack in sale price.

Ontario green cabbage $0.29 per lb
Ontario green cabbage $0.29 per lb
Whenever I can buy vegetables from Ontario, I will.  Sometimes, vegetables and fruit from US or other countries are cheaper.  But  we try to support our local farmers as much as possible.

Weekly good price:

Ontario greenhouse tomatoes on the vine $1.99 per lb
Ontario greenhouse tomatoes on the vine $1.99 per lb
I bought the same kind of tomato at Loblaws on Thursday and paid more!!!

Yes, I guess I learned my lesson.  Do not do early Thanksgiving shopping.  Wait for the last minute and fight with other shoppers inside the supermarket and around the cashiers; then, you will get better deal.  Sigh… I use the bus when I shop.  As you know, I shop after school or work.  Well, I just have to check more carefully or plan more carefully before I shop next time.

Since I bought a few things already on or before Thursday, I don’t have too many things to buy at Loblaws this week.  To check for other on special items, please go to Loblaws’ website.

Well, for sure, I will not buy Simply Orange at Target this week.  I may not buy everything I listed above, either.  To check for other on special items, please go to Target’s website.
