January 28, 2017 is the first day of Lunar
New Year for Chinese, Koreans and Vietnamese. This is the first day of the Year
of the Rooster. But why this year (2017) is the year of the Rooster?
One of my Chinese friends told me each year in the Lunar calendar is named after an animal from the Chinese zodiac. There are 12
different animals in the Chinese zodiac which rotate in a 12-year cycle. Each year
a specific zodiac animal is assigned for a specific year. Last year (2016) was
the year of the Monkey and next year (2018) will be the year of the Dog.
Yesterday, January 29, I received lucky money in red envelopes!! Yeah, on the second
day of the Lunar New Year !
According to my friend, each specific
zodiac animal represents special characteristics. Main male character of Love
in the Moonlight (KBS, 2016) Park Bo Gum [박보검] was born in June 1993.

As a Rooster, he is honest, ambitious
and realistic. He is also a good worker and a deep thinker. Do your Rooster
friends have similar characters?
